The family enjoying some outside time

Today we took all the pups to the vet for their check up and all the pups are in the Very Best of Health. The vet couldn't believe the pups were only 6 weeks old because they are all so big. He says that one of the indicators of a healthy litter is that all the weights of the pups are so close. We had to go through quite an ordeal to sneak the puppies out this morning so mom wouldn't see or hear them. Dad2 took mom and the rest of the pack on a ride down the street while I snuck the puppies into the car we were taking then parked it down the road. When he came back, we unloaded mom and the rest into the kennel with some cow hoofs to keep them occupied. Then we quick got into the car and headed for the vet. We were gone almost 4 hours and we have to say the pups rode very well with no accidents by the pups in the car. (Oh yea two threw up a little milk) As you might guess we couldn't fool either Mom or big brother Beckley. They knew when they smelled me that we had the pups and they ran over to them before greeting us to make sure everyone was ok and there. We had a happy reunion and we broke out the big bone for the pups to play with. One of the puppyhandlers came and played with the pups for two hours and the pups had a blast running around the house as they love to do.

It was a real windy and rainy day off and on here today, so we had the pups playing inside this morning. Than as the wind died down we ran them around outside and let them play in the kennel until the girls came. Then they played and ran them around some more in the kennel, took some pictures and then brought them in. It's always so funny that they have to come in from outside and pee on the rug. (Not to me) The girls wanted to hold the pups but the pups wanted to tear around and wrestle with each other and finally they just wore themselves out and settled down for nap. The girls were disappointed but were able to get some fresh air outside hike in the woods and go down to the beach. Then just as they were getting ready to leave the pups wanted to wake up and play some more.

It seems all the pups are now spending about 50% in the box and 50% out of the box. They love to play and wrestle with everything, themselves, the cat, Beckley and toys you name it. The cat climbed up on a box of newspapers they saw it and now they are copying it, they are fearless climbers, maybe too fearless sometimes. They are in the stage of not wanting to be held or cuddled as much until they're about ready to fall asleep. They have big spikes of energy and then sleep, not forgetting the food and water breaks they barely squeeze in-between play. Their eating habits have went from being picky to how fast can we gobble the food down before the other pups and without choking. Water consumption is now a fury of tongues and splashes and they all seem to like the occasional jump in the big dogs water bowl.

Pups went outside in-between the rain drops today and two of the puppyhandlers came with a friend this morning and then One came back to spend the afternoon and stayed till 9:00pm with us and the pups.

Today was just a quiet day at puppy central. The weather has been kind of iffy all day so we just had the pups playing inside. The pups legs are starting to sprout and they are always amusing to watch when a part of their bodies grows and they're just learning to adjust to the changes. The two main puppyhandlers came tonight for a few hours and they brought dinner, (handle puppies and feed us too wow.)

We included a picture of mom this morning after she made herself a nest on my side of the bed on my pillows. The bed was completely made and she actually pulled the blankets down and made herself comfortable. This shows how Royalty (Princess TamarahK) is treated and the pups will expect and accept nothing less. You can tell from all the pictures they are pillow dogs from birth.
