Barb and I have decided that we will pick up Cloud on March 14th (Sunday), if that is okay with you. Barb is very excited about getting Cloud and wishes to bring her along with us while we visit my parents and brothers, who all want to meet Cloud as well, as we have been keeping them all up to date with the daily news and pictures that we receive from you.

Things are going quite well with our new addition to our family. Our trip from your place was uneventful and Cloud was extremely well behaved and either stayed on Barb's lap or in her doggy bed. Cloud did not whimper or bark on the day's travel at all and within the trip out with us, seemed to get quite accustomed to us. Our first day saw us "puppy- proof" our pup and sleeping quarters which were all in the same room, and Cloud slept right through that night without waking up once. Barb has had Cloud sleep within an arm's reach of us every night and when Cloud wakes up in the middle of the night, she immediately climbs up onto our bed and starts wanting to play with us. We also made a large outdoor area on the back lawn where she can run around during our days here, and she loves going around the huge property here exploring every new thing that catches her eyes. We will be leaving for our home tomorrow morning. We have taken quite a few photos of Cloud already and will be able to load them into our computer once we get back home. Naturally we will forward the best of them to you.

Well, the three of us arrived home safely on Friday, although a little later than planned because of a highway closure due to a new snowfall that passed just before we arrived east of Hope. We have changed Cloud's name to Sadie and she has now startled to settle down in her new home here. Not too much time for writing today, as I am trying to get caught up on all my stuff after being away for the several days that we were gone. However, I have attached a few photos, and promise to write more in the next couple of days. Thanks again for your hospitality when we were down there!

Sadie is doing just fine. Both of her ears are now totally upright, and she weighed 30 pounds the last time we took her weight last week. We were taking her down to the beach practically every day for a while when the weather was nice and sunny, but the past week has been quite a bit cooler and wetter, so she has only been down there a couple of times lately. However she still goes on her daily walks, or runs, through the adjoining treed lot and nearby areas. I've enclosed a couple of photos of her first bumble-bee encounter.

We just weighed Sadie a few minutes ago. She now weighs 45 pounds. We enrolled her in puppy lessons which sees all of us at a beautiful field on Thursday evenings for an hour or so for 10 weeks. The second lesson was last night. I've attached a photo from last night's session which shows Barb & Sadie together

Sadie continues on her growth spurt and now weighs 50 pounds. She saw the vet about 10 days ago and got her Rabies shot and other boosters, and now does not need any more shots now until she is a year old. Her Thursday puppy classes are continuing and Sadie just loves socializing with all dogs.

I just weighed Sadie today and she is now 77 pounds. How does that compare to the rest of this year's litter? Sadie is in great health and her teeth are beautiful.

We have had a very dry and warm spell here and have been getting down to the beach roughly every second day. I've attached a couple of photos from our visit to the beach yesterday.
